Privacy Policy
Last updated .
This policy explains what Shopify Owners Newsletter collects and why. In short: we collect your email only if you subscribe, we load analytics and ads only after you consent, and we never sell your data. This is a static informational site with no user accounts.
What we collect
- Newsletter email: if you subscribe, the email you provide is used to send the briefing. Submissions are handled by a third-party form/email provider (configured at deployment); until one is configured, the form falls back to your own email client.
- Contact messages: if you email us or use the contact form, we receive the details you send.
- Analytics (consent-gated): if you accept cookies, we may load a privacy-respecting analytics placeholder (Google Analytics, ID
G-XXXXXXXXXX) to understand aggregate traffic. It does not run before consent and does not run from local files.
Advertising & affiliates
We may display ads (e.g., Google AdSense) and include affiliate links to tools. Ad and analytics scripts load only after you consent via the cookie banner. Affiliate links are clearly marked and use rel="sponsored nofollow"; see our affiliate disclosure. We may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you.
Cookies & consent
Non-essential cookies (analytics, ads) are disabled until you click Accept on the consent banner. You can decline, and you can change your choice anytime via “Manage cookie choices” in the footer. See the Cookies & GDPR page for details.
Your rights
Depending on your location (including under GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any edition. To exercise any right, contact us.
Data retention & security
We keep subscriber emails only while you remain subscribed and contact messages only as long as needed to respond. Because this is a static site, the data you submit is processed by the third-party providers we connect (form/email and, with consent, analytics/ads), each under their own policies.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
